American Cancer Society’s campaign, Real Men Wear Pink, ended on October 31, 2017. Our own Dr. William C. Petty raised over $5,000, well over his $2,500 goal. This competition was born out of a desire for men to have a unique way to help in the fight against breast cancer. Real Men Wear Pink gives communities the opportunity to nominate local leaders to spearhead fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives.
These initiatives include promoting early detection and prevention, funding groundbreaking research and giving patients support wherever and whenever they need it. Because of the passion of supporters like you, Real Men Wear Pink is helping to save more lives from breast cancer.
Thank You from Dr. William C. Petty!
“In support of the American Cancer Society Real Men Wear Pink campaign, I wore PINK everyday in October, e.g. Pink shirts, Pink shorts, Pink shades, Pink socks, Pink hats, Pink hair highlights, Pink toenails, Pink fingernails and the PINK goes on . . . THANK YOU so much to my supporters who assisted me in fundraising for a great cause,” said Dr. William C. Petty, Medical Director of Breast Diagnostic Center.
